Usually through sexual or other close physical contact. The lice can also be passed on through bedding or towels.

Are pubic lice dangerous and is treatment needed?

Pubic lice do not make you ill, but the itching is bothersome and the lice do not disappear on their own. Treatment with a product against lice works well. Also wash bedding, towels and underwear at a high temperature and warn your partner or partners from the past two months.
